We are super excited to announce our next project LANDMASS.
Deborah and Lucy will be travelling to Orkney to meet Amy with the intention of generating a piece of site specific work that reacts to the singular Orcadian environment, reflecting the patterns and rhythms of the islands and people. The second leg of the project involves Amy travelling to Sheffield to consolidate methodology and outcomes.
Throughout the project we are establishing a methodology for working remotely on sound creation and composition across our network. We will be testing on-line production and communication collaboration tools and the combination of analogue and digital composition components. The project will span over 500 miles of mixed terrain including mountain and sea and reach out to one of the most distant communities in the British Isles.
LANDMASS is delivered by SONA as part of the YSWN Amplify programme, supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
